ANEURYSM OF HEART

Aneurysm of heart - a protrusion of the limited site of the refined wall of a left ventricle. In most cases an aneurysm it is localized on its forward wall at an apex of heart; an aneurysm of an interventricular septum inflates in a cavity of a right ventricle (where pressure less, than in left). From true an aneurysm of heart distinguish false - the special form of break of a myocardium; as a wall false aneurysms the pericardium serves.

Etiology, pathogenesis. An aneurysm it is usually formed within 3 months after a forward myocardial infarction. Acute an aneurysm develops in an acute stage of a myocardial infarction when the site is softened and under influence of the pressure raised during a systole inflates outside or, at a lesion of an interventricular septum, in a cavity of a right ventricle. In process of a cicatrization of a myocardial infarction acute an aneurysm disappears or turns to the chronic, certain role thus the kept occlusion of a coronary artery and an insufficient collateral blood flow play. An aneurysm leads to decrease of intimate emission - the part of a stroke output gets in its cavity. In a cavity aneurysms are often formed thrombuses which can become a source of a thromboembolism of arteries of the big circle of a circulation.

Signs, current. An aneurysm of heart can proceed asymptomatically, however quite often it serves as the reason of disturbances of an intimate rhythm, a heart failure, a source of a thromboembolism.
