Apoplexy of an ovary - a hemorrhage in an ovary, accompanied its break and a bleeding in an abdominal cavity. In most cases there is a break of a yellow body of an ovary or a cyst of a yellow body. Arises owing to pathological changes of vessels (varicose expansion, a sclerosis) on a background of previous inflammatory process. Comes during the moment of an ovulation or in a stage of vascularization of a yellow body (the middle and the second phase of a cycle) more often. Provoking role is played with a trauma, a raising of gravity, the rough sexual relations. Break of a yellow body during pregnancy is possible.

Signs, current. Signs of an internal bleeding and a painful syndrome (acute abdomen) are observed.
