Bartholinitis - an inflammation of the big gland of an entrance of the vagina. Originators are various microbes: staphilococcuses, etc. Contagiums get through a lead-out duct glands (canaliculitis), then inflammatory process grasps a parenchyma (a serous, purulent inflammation). The purulent exsudate fills lobes of a gland with formation of a false abscess which can independently be opened.
Signs, current. In an acute stage a malaise, delicacy, sensation of a tumescence in the field of external genitals, a fervescence. At objective research mark a tumescence and a hyperemia in the field of a gland; its palpation is sharply morbid. At formation of a pseudoabscess temperature high, cold fits. At break of an abscess the general condition of the patient improves, the temperature decreases. In a chronic stage of disease development of a cyst is possible. Disease has predilection to relapses.
