Cerumen impaction - a clump of an earwax in external acoustical passage owing to the raised secretion located in itself of sulfuric glands. The earwax is late because of the viscosity, narrowness and tortuosity of external acoustical passage, a boring of its walls, hit in acoustical passage of a cement, flour dust. The cerumen impaction in the beginning soft, and in the further becomes dense and even petrous. It can be light yellow or dark brown color.
Signs, current. If the cerumen impaction does not close completely a lumen of acoustical passage, it does not cause any disturbances. At full closing a lumen there is a sensation of dropping of hearing, an autophonia (a resonance of own voice in the incorporated ear). These frustration develop suddenly, more often at hit in acoustical passage of water during bathing, washing of a head or at manipulation in an ear a match. The cerumen impaction can cause and other disturbances if it presses on walls of acoustical passage and a tympanic membrane.
