Owing to oral hyperkinesias there is a dysarthtia, in serious cases of patients cannot speak at all. The greatest value in development of chorea has a lesion of striatal structures and a cerebellum.

The hysterical chorea should be differentiated from habit spasms to which stereotype and localness is usually inherent. Arising also at children and shown a combination of choreiform hyperkinesias to violent vocalization. Patients publish grunting, barking and cooing sounds which eventually pass in repetition of obscene words (eschrolalia).
