Congestive optic disk - a noninflammatory papilledema. An etiology: diseases of the central nervous system, accompanied rising of intracranial pressure.
Pathogenesis: difficulty of outflow of a liquid in a cavity of a skull on intercapsulate spaces of an optic nerve. Signs: the optic disk is enlarged in a vitreous, its borders are not defined; veins in the field of a disk are dilated, arteries narrow. Blind maculae is enlarged. Visual acuity and a field of vision longly remain normal. Their progressive deterioration is marked in process of transition of process in an atrophy of an optic nerve.
