CONJUNCTIVITIS

Conjunctivitis - an inflammation of a connecting environment of an eye.

Conjunctivitis adenoviral. The virus is transferred air-dropwise by. Disease arises in the form of epidemic flashes, mainly in children's collectives.

Signs. The beginning of disease acute. To a lesion of eyes, as a rule, precede and lesions of the top respiratory ways, a fervescence, augmentation of preaural lymph nodes (more often at children) accompany. The dacryagogue, a photophobia, an edema and an erubescence of the blepharons, the moderate nictitating spasm, a hyperemia of a conjunctiva, a poor not purulent discharge (the catarral form) are marked. Quite often disease is accompanied by occurrence of follicles (the follicular form) or Membranulas. The membraneous form is observed mainly at children. The lesion of a cornea meets seldom, in the form of an epithelial punctual keratitis which soon completely resolves.

Conjunctivitis acute. Originators: pneumococcuses, streptococcuses and staphilococcuses, etc. As a rule, there is an exogenous infection of a conjunctiva. The autoinfection is possible. Contributing factors - cooling or an overheating of an organism, the general weakening, microtraumas of a conjunctiva. The conjunctivitis blennorhagic, arises at newborns at passage of a head through patrimonial ways of mother, a suffering gonorrhea.

Signs, current. The acute beginning: a photophobia, a dacryagogue, the century, an edema and a hyperemia of a conjunctiva, a mucopurulent or purulent discharge has swelled. For a blennorhagic conjunctivitis 3-4 days a plentiful purulent discharge are characteristic in the beginning serous bloody, and later. Formation of infiltrates, helcomas is possible. For finding-out of an etiology of disease bacteriological research conjunctival separated is necessary.

Conjunctivitis chronic. An etiology, a pathogenesis: it is long operating borings of a conjunctiva (a dust, a smoke, chemical impurity in air, etc.), an avitaminosis, frustration of a metabolism, chronic lesions of a nose and plaintive ways, ametropias. Signs: an itch, a burning sensation, sensation of sand after centuries, a photophobia, weariness of eyes. Easy puffiness, a hyperemia of a conjunctiva, a poor mucous or mucous purulent discharge. Current very long.
