Gynecomastia - augmentation of a mammary gland at men with a hypertrophy of glands and a fatty tissue. During puberty often there is a morbid inspissation of mammary glands which then spontaneously disappears. The reason of a gynecomastia can be various endocrinopathies: a testicular feminization, castration and a hypothyrosis, tumours of testicles, a choriocarcinoma, tumours of a pituitary body and adrenals. The gynecomastia can be a syndrome at a cancer of a lung. It arises also at a cirrhosis of a liver, an alimentary dystrophia, a lepra.

Signs, current. The gynecomastia can be unilateral or bilateral. Feeling of gravity and unpleasant sensations in the field of a mammary gland.
