Hypopituitarism - the syndrome of an endocrine failure caused by full or partial abaissement of function of a forward and back share of a pituitary body with a secondary hypofunction of peripheric endocrine glands.
Signs. Delicacy, an adynamia, apathy, a flaccidity, depression of appetite. Progressing depression of mass of a body, a cachexia. Signs of a hypofunction of a thyroid gland, dryness, paleness of integuments, abaissement of hair on a head, a pubis, in axillary hollows, an eyebrow shedding, fragility of bones, puffiness of the face, retardation, a sleepiness, constipations. Depression of activity of a cortex of adrenals causes an adynamia, a hypotension, predilection to a hypoglycemia, dyspeptic disturbances. Frustration of gonadotrophic function of a pituitary body leads at women to an amenorrhea, an atrophy of mammary glands, at men - to an impotency.
