Labyrinthitis - the diffuse or limited lesion of peripheric departments of sound and vestibular analyzers. Arises at acute or more often chronic inflammations of a middle ear (cholesteatoma), a tuberculosis of a middle ear, a trauma.
Distinguish also purulent and not purulent lesions of a labyrinth, and on diffusion - diffusive and limited. Signs, current depend on localization of process in an internal ear. In initial stages of disease the boring of a labyrinth (a sonitus, a giddiness, a nausea, depression of hearing, a spontaneous nystagmus, frustration of equilibrium, a vomiting) is marked. The spontaneous nystagmus is referred to the sick party; if there comes oppression of a labyrinth - in the healthy party. Intensity of a giddiness is various. Frustration of equilibrium is observed in rest and at movement. At a serous labyrinthitis pathological changes consist in formation of an exsudate and an edema in all soft parts of a labyrinth. The limited labyrinthites happen to a fistula or without it. The fistula is on the horizontal channel is more often. At a purulent labyrinthitis the temperature can raise. At a diffusive purulent labyrinthitis there comes a full hearing loss.
