Listerosis - infectious disease from group of zoonoses; it is characterized by a polymorphism of clinical displays. Acute forms proceed in the form of purulent meningitises, meningocephalites, a sepsis, chronic - more often in the form of a recurring inflammation of urinary ways. The alimentary way of a becoming infected prevails.
Signs, current. The incubation interval proceeds from 3 till 70 days. Acute forms of a listerosis begin suddenly: a cold fit, a fervescence, a headache, irritability, a pain in muscles. Illness quite often proceeds with an exanthema. The eruption large spotty or erythematic, is condensed in the field of large joints, on the face forms a figure of "butterfly". At glandular forms besides there is an augmentation and morbidity of peripheric lymph nodes. At nervous forms meningeal signs, and sometimes and attributes of an encephalitis are observed. The cerebrospinal liquid has purulent character. The liver and a lien are enlarged. Sometimes in a clinical picture of a listerosis on the foreground signs of an acute gastroenteritis, a pyelitis, an endocarditis act. The listerosis of newborns proceeds hardly, with a high lethality. The high fever, a dyspnea, a cyanosis, an inflammation of the top respiratory ways are marked. The liver and lien are enlarged, separate patients have icterus, sometimes an exanthema.
