Multiple sclerosis - the disease of the nervous system caused by occurrence disseminated on head and a spinal cord of the centers of a demyelination; one of the most frequent organic diseases of the central nervous system.

Signs, current. Disease arises usually at young age; in the childhood and after 50 years the beginning of illness is marked extremely seldom. In the course of time again arising centers of a lesion any more are not exposed to full restoration, gravity of a clinical picture steadily accrues. More often than others the cerebellar system and optic nerves are amazed. In the developed stage of illness almost always there is a bottom spastic paraparesis. Alongside with it cerebellar frustration are expressed: a dysarthtia, a nystagmus. The rasping tremor of extremities, less often than a head is usually observed; the tremor is taped at active movements, but can wear and static character.
