Orchiepididymitis - a nonspecific inflammation of a testicle and its appendage. In 90 % of cases a lesion unilateral. Develops as complication of an infectious disease is more often: an epidemic parotitis, a flu, a pneumonia, a typhoid, an actinomycosis; sometimes arises after a trauma of a testicle, a long catheterization of a bladder, after a transurethral prostatectomy. The hematogenic way of a becoming infected is very rare. Primarily the inflammation arises in an epididymis and quickly extends on the last.
Signs, current. Disease proceeds was acutely and chronically. At acute process within several hours there is a morbid unilateral augmentation of a testicle with a dermahemia, a hydroscheocele and fast rise in temperature up to 40°С. At the raised position of a scrotum the painful syndrome decreases. The acute orchiepididymitis can abscess. At spontaneous opening an abscess the purulent fistula is formed.
