Panophthalmia - an acute purulent inflammation of all tissues and environments of an eye.
Etiology, pathogenesis. Extremely seldom - drift of an infection in an eye at a sepsis and other infectious diseases. Can be an outcome of an entophthalmia.
Signs. A strong pain in an eye and in a head. A sharp hyperemia, the century and conjunctivas of an eyeglobe has swelled. A cornea hydropic, muddy, in the forward chamber pus. In a vitreous a purulent exsudate. Fast and appreciable depression of vision is characteristic. At advance of process there is a perforation of a sclera, is usual at a limbus. The phenomena of the general intoxication, a fervescence are frequent.
