RENAL COLIC

Renal colic - a syndrome observed at series of diseases of kidneys, which basic display - acute pains in lumbar area. An etiology and a pathogenesis. The most frequent reasons of a renal colic happen a nephrolithiasis, a hydronephrosis, a nephroptosis at which urological dynamics in the top urinary ways is broken. A renal colic can cause obstruction of a ureter a clot, in caseous masses at a tuberculosis of kidneys, a tumour, and also a polycystosis and other diseases of kidneys and ureters. The leading part in development of a symptom-complex belongs to a spastic stricture of urinary ways with their ischemia, to a stretching of a fibrous capsule of a kidney and a renal reflux.

Signs, current. The attack develops unexpectedly in the form of strong pains in lumbar area more often, but sometimes it is preceded with an accrueing dyscomfort in the field of a kidney. Walking, run, driving on a motorcycle, a raising of gravity quite often provoke an attack, but it can arise and in rest. Intensity hurt quickly accrues, the patient is excruciated, not finding a place from a pain, loudly groans, keeping arms for a sick side. The pain is localized in lumbar area, but then moves downwards on a course of a ureter, irradiates in inguinal area and genitals. In urine, as a rule, find out erythrocytes and a small amount of fiber, sometimes - concrements, salts, clots. Quite often at stones of a ureter the renal colic is accompanied by abdominal pains, a paresis of an intestine similarly to a picture of an acute abdomen. In such cases differential diagnostics with an appendicitis, a cholecystitis, an intestinal obstruction and a pancreatitis happens hard as the attack is often accompanied by a nausea and a vomiting, and presence of erythrocytes in urine does not exclude presence of an appendicitis. If the stone of the small size is localized in the bottom department of a ureter or the renal colic is bound to an output of sand there are frequent, morbid desires on an emiction. The attack can be accompanied by a cold fit, a fervescence, a tachycardia, a leukocytosis. It can many hours are fast end or proceed.
