Retinitis - an inflammation of a mesh environment of an eye. An etiology: infectious diseases, intoxications, allergic conditions, endocrine disturbances, frustration of a metabolism, action of radiant energy, a trauma of an eye.
Pathogenesis. More often the inflammation of a mesh environment develops owing to an innidiation of the originator at a bacteriemia and at a combination to processes of an allergy, immune aggression.
Signs. On an eyeground - focal or diffusive opacifications of white, grey or yellow color in which have as though sunk vessels of a mesh environment. At a locating of the centers in a macular zone on a course of nervous fibers the figure of a star is formed. Hemorrhages are frequent. Vessels of a mesh environment are narrowed or dilated, sometimes with aneurysmal formations. The edema of a mesh environment, a hyperemia of an optic disk, an attrition of its borders are possible. At a locating of process in the central area of a mesh environment - sharp dropping of vision, a scotoma, a fibrillation of light before eyes (photopsia), distortions of subjects (metamorphopsia), disturbance of a color perception. The lesion of periphery of a mesh environment is accompanied by concentric narrowing of a field of vision. In serious cases of disease occurrence of an exsudate in a vitreous with an outcome in an entophthalmia and a panophthalmia is possible.
