RETROPHARYNGEAL ABSCESS

The retropharyngeal abscess (retropharyngeal abscess) - is formed as a result of pyeses of lymph nodes and a fat of retropharyngeal space. Contagiums get on lymphatic ways from a nasal cavity, a nasopharynx, an acoustical pipe and a middle ear. Sometimes the abscess is complication of a flu, reproach, scarlatinas, and also can develop at wounds of a mucosa of a back wall of pharynx by an alien body, firm nutrition. It is observed, as a rule, at early children's age at the exhausted and weakened children.

Signs, current. Complaints to a sharp pain are characteristic at a swallowing, thus the nutrition quite often gets in a nose. The patient refuses nutrition. The tumescence behind of an angle of a mandible and on a first line of a thoracal clavicular mastoid muscle is quite often observed.
