SYNDROME OF A FAILURE OF AN ABSORPTION

Syndrome of a failure of an absorption - a symptom-complex arising owing to frustration of digestion and an absorption in a small bowel. Distinguish primary (genetically caused) and the secondary (got) syndrome of a failure of an absorption.

Etiology, pathogenesis. The reason of occurrence of a primary syndrome of a failure of an absorption - hereditary disturbances of structure of a mucosa of an intestinal wall and genetically caused disturbance of an intestinal metabolism. In particular, a failure of disaccharidases (the enzymes providing processes of hydrolysis of carbohydrates of disaccharides) it is shown by disturbance of an absorption of the products containing corresponding carbohydrates. In development of a secondary syndrome of an insufficient absorption result diseases of a stomach (a chronic gastritis with a secretory failure, a resection of a stomach, a dumping syndrome), an intestine (a ulcerative colitis, illness the Crone, an exudative enteropathy, a Gee's disease, a divertuculosis and a diverticulitis, an extensive resection and tumours of a small bowel, bacteriemic, virus lesions of an intestine, parasitogenic, helminthic invasions, etc.), A liver (a chronic hepatitis, a cirrhosis of a liver, a cholestasia), a pancreas (a chronic pancreatitis, a pancreatectomy), vascular frustration (an ischemic colitis), intoxications (alcoholic, a uremia, etc.), application of some medical products (antibiotics, immunodepressants, nonsteroid resolvents, etc.), endocrine diseases (for example, a thyrotoxicosis), etc.
