The cancer of a larynx - makes about 2 % from all malignant tumours. At men meets in 8-9 times more often, than at women. The localized tumours are observed at 60 % of patients; in 30 % of cases regional metastasises, and in 10 % - the remote metastasises during primary survey are taped. The prevailing histological form - a planocellular cancer.

Clinical picture. In the beginning of disease the cancer of a labium is shown in the form of the rough inspissation covered by a scab. On edges of inspissation the crown is formed. In process of body height of a tumour in it there are processes of the disintegration, accompanied a ulceration; the secondary infection joins. The innidiation in lymph nodes is observed in 10 % of cases. The first metastasises at localization of a primary tumour in the central part of a labium appear in mental lymph nodes, at a lateral locating of a primary tumour - in submandibular lymph nodes. The remote metastasises are rare. Germination of a mandible is possible.
